Christmas at Windsor Castle (30th November 2023 to 1st January 2024)

Among the total of eight Christmas trees at Windsor Castle this year, the show-stopping 20-foot-high Nordmann Fir tree in St George's Hall is a real highlight. Topped with a specially commissioned sparkling Garter Star, which was designed to commemorate the 675th anniversary of the Order of the Garter – the oldest order of chivalry in Britain – the tree also features Coronation-themed decorations to celebrate this momentous year.

Another Garter Star topped tree can be seen in the Crimson Drawing Room, while the 160-foot-long dining table in the Waterloo Chamber has been set with porcelain from the Garter Service featuring a design inspired by the Garter star and the Order’s motto ‘Honi soit qui mal y pense (Shame on him who thinks evil of it)’.
