Kristen Kenney was born on 17th July in Virginia Beach, VA, the United States of America. She kept her parents’ identity away from the media as she appears to be reserved about her family history. However, as per records, it is known that her father was a journalist, who passed away in 2012 cause of a heart attack. She considered her father as her biggest inspiration and motivator. Kristen has a Navy background and has traveled the length and breadth of the US. She later settled in Virginia Beach.
Kenney completed her high school education from First Colonial High School and went to study at Elon University in North Carolina, from where she received a degree in Broadcast Journalism. From the same university, she played Division I Soccer. Later for her further studies, she attended the University of Miami and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Arts in 2006.

During the initiation of her career, she worked at Public Broadcasting Service in Orlando as a reporter and lifestyle host. Later she served for several renowned organizations in the media industry such as NBC Sports for 4 years, ESPN, CBS Corporation, Fox Sports for 2 years. She also served for Golf Channel show Altered Course as a host.
Currently, she is working for NBA Team Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City since 2018 covering both home and away games. She hosted events like 13-week college football series for Yahoo Sports and also a producer and anchored digital content with XOS Digital. She is part of a documentary called ‘Tanzania: A Journey Within’ which made her visit Tanzania where she learned surviving strategies. There she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and interacted with native tribes. Consequently, she was bitten by a mosquito and suffered from malaria due to which she about to lost her life but survived somehow.
